Note on the auditor’s deck record: the auditor’s file reports the existing wood deck as 316 sq ft, but a current tape measurement of the as-built deck is 14’-0" deep × 13’-10" wide ≈ 194 sq ft (or ~192 sq ft accounting for the two clipped corners). The auditor figure is stale — likely reflects a previous larger deck configuration or an out-of-date measurement that was never updated. The reconstruction matches the current measured footprint, not the auditor’s historical figure. No change in footprint triggers a zoning review.

§3332.28 (side/rear yard obstruction) note: decks are not on the list of structures exempt from a required yard, but the deck does not intrude into the 5-ft required side yard (west side yard is 9’-6") or reduce the required rear yard area below 25% of lot (deck occupies ~192 sq ft of ~6,000+ sq ft of rear yard space — ~5,800 sq ft remains, well above the ~2,125 sq ft requirement).
